Chiropractic Care
Types of Chiropractic Care at TriTown Chiropractic
The number of chiropractic treatments needed varies from patient to patient. Recovery can depend on factors such as your health status, the age and severity of your injury, the presence of chronic pain, compliance with at-home and in-office therapies, and your overall goals. Some patients seek quick relief from acute pain and need only a few sessions, while others pursue long-term health benefits through more comprehensive care. The choice is always yours—and many patients find that ongoing chiropractic adjustments become an essential part of maintaining their overall wellness.
Active Care
Acute Care:
Acute care focuses on the first few days following an injury, aiming to reduce pain, inflammation, and muscle spasms. Treatments may include therapies like electrical muscle stimulation and ultrasound to promote faster healing.
Remobilization:
This stage targets restoring joint and muscle flexibility and mobility. Spinal adjustments and myofascial release techniques are typically utilized to achieve these goals.
Reactivation:
During reactivation, specific exercises and flexibility training are introduced. Research shows that incorporating exercise early leads to quicker recovery and reduces the risk of future injuries.
Rehabilitation:
This phase focuses on rebuilding coordination, strength, and endurance. Rehabilitation empowers patients to manage symptoms independently through exercise and posture correction, minimizing the chance of re-injury.
Supportive Care
After completing active care, some patients benefit from supportive care to manage occasional flare-ups. If you haven't visited us in over six months, a brief re-examination will be conducted before resuming treatment.
Preventive/Maintenance Care
Maintaining spinal health is key to feeling your best and preventing future issues. Patients who receive monthly adjustments often experience fewer daily aches and pains. Maintenance care includes spinal adjustments and moist heat therapy, though most insurance plans do not cover preventive care.

Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression
Are You Struggling With:
Lower Back Pain
Pinched Nerves
Sciatica
Radiating Pain Into the Legs
Degenerative Discs
Spinal Stenosis
Limited Range of Motion
If you’re experiencing any of these symptoms, gentle spinal decompression therapy may offer the relief you need. This safe, non-surgical treatment is designed to relieve lower back pain, neck pain, sciatica, bulging discs, herniated discs, and degenerative disc issues.
Spinal decompression uses gentle distraction forces to carefully stretch and reposition the spine. This unloading effect can help increase blood flow and nutrient exchange in the injured area, supporting the body’s natural healing process.
How Long Does Treatment Take?
Spinal decompression therapy sessions typically last less than 20 minutes and are scheduled three times per week for approximately one month. Many patients experience significant pain relief after just 6 to 10 sessions, with a full course of care generally lasting around 8 weeks.
A complete recovery program, including targeted exercises and supportive therapies like heat therapy, muscle stimulation, ultrasound, and cold therapy, is key to restoring strength and stability. Our goal is not only to heal the affected disc but also to rebuild muscular support for long-term spinal health.
Continuing a home exercise program and visiting our office periodically can help you maintain your results and prevent future issues. Clinical studies show that over 75% of patients treated with spinal decompression find long-lasting relief.

Shockwave Therapy
At TriTown Chiropractic, we use the advanced Zimmer enPuls 2.0 to deliver effective, non-invasive shockwave therapy. This technology generates therapeutic acoustic pulses using a precision ballistic mechanism. A projectile is accelerated by an electromagnetic field, creating kinetic energy that transforms into sound waves upon impact. These waves are delivered into the tissue through a specialized transmitter and gel, stimulating blood flow, promoting nutrient exchange, and enhancing the body’s natural healing process. Over time, damaged tissue regenerates and repairs itself.
Shockwave therapy offers a safe alternative to surgery, typically requiring 3–5 in-office sessions lasting about 10–15 minutes each, spaced weekly.
Benefits of Shockwave Therapy
Extracorporeal Pulse Activation Technology (EPAT)—also called shockwave therapy—provides a proven, non-surgical solution for patients with chronic soft tissue injuries. It is highly effective for both acute and long-standing musculoskeletal pain that impacts mobility or quality of life.
